Based on a hit manga by Takeshi Konomi which sold over 40 million copies in Japan, Prince of Tennis tells the story of Ryoma Echizen, a 12-year-old tennis prodigy and the son of a famous tennis player.

With his innate talent and confidence in his tennis abilities, Ryoma has already won four consecutive junior tennis tournaments in America. Now back in Japan, he enters Seishun Academy, one of the best tennis schools in the country.

Though a freshman, Ryoma's amazing skills makes him a key member of the tennis team, as well as a target for the senior players, who are all determined to stop him from surpassing them.

Ryoma’s goal is to lead his team to victory in the National Tennis Championship. However, not only do fierce rivals from other schools stand in his way, Ryoma has his own personal battle to fight – to break out of the shadow of his famous father and become a recognized tennis player in his own right.
