As one of the longest running and highest ever rated anime series in Japan, Chibi Maruko-chan revolves around the life of Momoko Sakura, a nine-year old elementary school student. Due to her round face and small size, she is given the nickname of Chibi Maruko-chan by the people around her.

Chibi Maruko-chan lives together with her parents, grandparents and elder sister in a little town. Good natured at heart, the charming Maruko-chan is nonetheless lazy, disorganized and often late for school. Like many children, she has many schoolfriends that she plays with, tries to avoid homework and chores and constantly squabbles with her sister…with hilarious adventures resulting!
